Carlos Roberto PenaVega ( born Carlos Roberto Pena Junior on August 15, 1989 in Columbia , Missouri ) is an American actor , dancer and singer . He gained most of his notoriety through his career with Big Time Rush .

Life

Carlos Pena grew up in Weston in the US state of Florida on. His mother is from the Dominican Republic and his father from Venezuela . Pena made his first experiences as an actor as a guest actor in several television series such as Emergency Room , Ned's ultimate school madness and Summerland Beach .

Pena became known through the Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush , where he played the lead role as Carlos Garcia from 2009 to 2013 . Since 2009 he has also been the singer of the eponymous band Big Time Rush .

In September 2013 he got engaged to actress Alexa Vega . The couple got married on January 4th, 2014 in Mexico, Puerto Valleta. Their first son was born in December 2016.
