Daniele Negroni (born July 31, 1995 in Arona , Italy ) is a German - Italian singer who became known in 2012 for the ninth season of the talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar , in which he took second place.

Life

Negroni moved to Germany in 1996 with his brother Enrico and his German mother Renata after the commercial employee divorced his Italian father. Due to educational difficulties at home he lived from the age of 14 years in Don Bosco - Youth hostel in Regensburg . There he obtained his secondary school certificate , attended vocational school and was actively supported in his DSDS participation in 2012. He broke off his training as a chef for the talent show when his boss gave him the choice. He then moved back to his mother's home in Nersingen ( Neu-Ulm district ), where his younger brother Luca also lives, who could also be seen on filming there.

Negroni took singing and drum lessons from the age of six and was in the school band with his brother, with whom he had some appearances. He also learns to play the guitar.

Career

His most successful single in Germany is his second single, Absolutely Right, from his debut album Crazy . His debut single Don't Think About Me from the same album is most successful in Austria and Switzerland . His debut album was awarded gold in Austria, and the debut album also received gold status in Germany . The audio and video carriers he has sold to date total around 130,000 units worldwide, 110,000 of which were sold in Germany.

He was influenced by James Blunt , James Morrison , Cro , Sido and Xavier Naidoo . The band Caligola is also mentioned as an influence on his debut album Crazy .

2012: Participation in DSDS

In 2012 Daniele Negroni took part in the ninth season of the casting show Deutschland sucht den Superstar . In the recall in the Maldives, juror Dieter Bohlen told him that he had star appeal. By making a homophobic statement to a competitor, for which he apologized in the following broadcast, he achieved media coverage.

Before the final, a page was published on the website of the broadcaster RTL that Negroni emerged as the winner. According to RTL, this was a technical error by Print Your Ticket . The site was taken off the Internet again.

Negroni took second place in the final behind the Swiss Luca Hänni . According to the BILD , Negroni led in the final until 9:40 pm, in the meantime even with 59.36%. On the day of the finale, his version of the winning title Don't Think About Me was available for download in Germany , Austria and Switzerland. Since this version of the song was about to hit the download charts before the end of the finale, the press assumed that Negroni would win. After the final, Dieter Bohlen also said that he thought Negroni would win.

After the song Don't Think About Me reached number four in the German , number three in the Austrian and number two in the Swiss single charts (behind Luca Hänni's version of the song), the song was also released there on May 11, 2012 as audio CD released. The song stayed for six weeks in the German and Austrian and three weeks in the Swiss single charts.

Negroni was managed by Volker Neumüller after the end of the season and signed a record deal with Universal after the finale .

On May 25, 2012, his second single, Absolutely Right, was released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The song was written by Dieter Bohlen and compared to Marvin Gaye's song I Heard It Through the Grapevine . The music video was shot in Berlin on May 19th and published on the clipfish.de website on May 25th . On May 25th, Daniele appeared in the final show of the casting show Deutschland sucht den Superstar Kids and presented his second single Absolutely Right . On June 1, Daniele presented the song on The Dome 62 and on June 3 on the ZDF TV garden . In addition, Negroni performed on June 28th on the Berlin Fan Mile and on July 28th, 2012 in Legoland Germany . The autograph session at Legoland had to be canceled for security reasons. The single rose to number 15 in the German, 18th place in the Austrian and 20th place in the Swiss single charts. The song stayed seven weeks in the German, four weeks in the Austrian and two weeks in the Swiss single charts.

The album Crazy was also released on May 25th in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The album was recorded within five days and produced by Dieter Bohlen. The album reached number five on iTunes , number two on amazon.de and number one on Musicload . In addition, the song Don't Leave Me from the album on amazon.de became the newcomer of the day . The album climbed to number two in the German (behind Ballast der Republik by Die Toten Hosen ) and Swiss (behind My Name Is Luca by Luca Hänni) and number one in the Austrian album charts . The album stayed at the top of the charts for a week. In Germany, the album made it to number one on the newcomer charts. It stayed in the Swiss album charts for twelve weeks. In addition, the songs Oh Jonny (62nd place) and Forgive Forget (45th place) from the album entered the Swiss single charts. Oh Jonny (68th place) and Forgive Forget (64th place) as well as Cello (75th place) entered the Austrian single charts . All songs stayed in the Austrian and Swiss single charts for a week. On July 23, 2012, the album was awarded gold in Austria .

In July 2012, Negroni promoted the tenth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar together with Ardian Bujupi , Sarah Engels and Luca Hänni .

On August 10, 2012, the third single I Like It Hot, written by Dieter Bohlen, was released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The music video was shot in Barcelona at the end of July and published on August 2nd on the myvideo.de website. On August 29, 2012 Daniele presented the single on The Dome 63 . The single entered the German single charts at number 45.

Negroni won the Napster Fan Award in the musician category , which was awarded on September 7, 2012. From November 3rd to December 23rd, 2012 Negroni went on tour in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The tour under the name Daniele Negroni Live & Crazy 2012 included 17 concerts.

In 2013 Negroni went on tour with Luca Hänni under the motto Thank You to the Fans , which included ten concerts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Negroni was nominated for his album Crazy in the category “Best Artist Rock / Pop National” and “Newcomer national” for the Echo 2013 Music Prize. In 2013 he also won the “Golden Penguin” in the “Newcomer of the Year” category of the Austrian youth magazine Xpress through fan voting . He was also nominated for the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award in the “Favorite Star Germany / Austria / Switzerland” category.

In 2013, the album was released Bulletproof , singles were Hold on My Heart and Why Do I Do .

After participating in the concerts “DSDS - Live on Tour” in Austria in July 2014 together with other former candidates, Negroni was on a solo tour in Germany and Austria in October / November 2014 with the program “With Sichahaiit”, meanwhile in clear smaller locations. In January 2015 he was appointed ambassador of the Federal Association of Children's Hospices. In the summer of 2015, Negroni changed management.

In January and February 2018, Negroni took part in the 12th season of the reality show I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here! part and took second place as with DSDS.
