WOW - Die Entdeckerzone (Original title: Backyard Science ) is a German-language magazine program for children broadcast on Super RTL . According to the broadcaster, the format , designed for viewers aged eight and over, is an Australian production by Beyond Productions.

It is a nearly half-hour program in which 8 to 12 year old children conduct popular science experiments under supervision, which are explained in a manner appropriate to the target group. Reference points to the everyday life of the underage viewers as well as possibilities to carry out experiments yourself are shown.

Vanessa Meisinger and Marc Dumitru , who replaced Mark Schepp , have been moderators since 2017 . The program was previously hosted by Nina Moghaddam (2004–2012) together with Marcus Werner (2004–2006), later with Florian Ambrosius (2007–2012).
