MTV Live HD is an English-language music channel that broadcasts its programs 24 hours a day in 1080i . MTV Live HD went on air in September 2008 in several countries in Europe and Latin America as MTVNHD ( MTV Networks High Definition ). The station is a subsidiary of MTV and Nickelodeon , which is owned by Viacom . The broadcaster is based in Warsaw .
MTV Live HD has been receivable in several countries in Europe , North and Latin America , Australia and Asia since 2010 .
It is the first high definition music station that mainly broadcasts the MTV shows and events such as the MTV Video Music Awards .
On July 1, 2011, the station was renamed MTV Live HD as part of the rebranding of all MTV stations around the world.
On April 5, 2017, MTV changed the color of the logo for MTV Live HD.
Receptibility
The station went on air in October 2010 in several countries on the continents of Europe , North America , Latin America , Asia and Australia . In 2011 the station should start in Africa. How the reception situation is there (as of September 2, 2014) is unclear. From April 4, 2012 to September 1, 2014, the channel was available on the pay-TV provider Sky . On September 1, 2014, the distribution of MTV Live HD via the pay TV provider Sky was terminated. Since September 10, 2014, MTV Live HD can only be received in Germany via Unitymedia , Magine TV and the "MTV Play" app.
MTV LIVE HD has not been part of MTV Play and its app in Germany since March 1, 2018.
On February 28, 2019, MTV Live HD was switched off via Magine TV . The reason was the discontinuation of the streaming provider Magine TV in Germany. Alternatively, MTV Live HD could also be received in Germany via Diveo. On November 30, 2019, however, Diveo also ceased broadcasting, so that MTV Live HD can no longer be received there.
In addition, the station is fed into chargeable packages with numerous regional cable providers who sell a bouquet of the M7 Germany Group.
