content

Shirley Holmes is the twelve-year-old great-grandniece of the master detective Sherlock Holmes . She finds an exotic-looking chest in the attic of her house, which she can open after solving a few puzzles. In it, in addition to her great-great-uncle's mementos, including his characteristic cap, she also finds a letter in which Sherlock Holmes congratulates the person who found the letter and appoints him as his successor. Shirley takes on this inheritance and now operates as a hobby detective. She is supported in solving the cases by her good friend Boris 'Bo' Sawchuck. The two deal with thieves, swindlers, aliens and, last but not least, Shirley's 'nemesis' Molly Hardy (alluding to Professor Moriarty ).
