Performance changed

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Employees of a company with activity restrictions due to a medically certified irreversible illness are referred to as performance- modified employees. For many of them, an accident or illness has left them permanently disabled .

Over 95% of the severely disabled are performance-modified people. In 85% of them, illness is the cause. Almost half of these are diseases of the skeletal system (e.g. diseases of the intervertebral discs ), followed by cardiovascular diseases and mental illnesses.

From the point of view of occupational safety , two aspects are important:

  • Avoidance of operational illnesses and accidents that can lead to reduced performance or change.
  • (Re) integration of people who have changed performance not only for social reasons, but because people who have changed performance sometimes bring company-related knowledge or specialist knowledge with them and thus the shortage of skilled workers can be counteracted.
