VIVA TV was a Hungarian television broadcaster based in Budapest that mainly played music videos. The station was replaced on October 3, 2017 by the new Comedy Central Family or MTV Hits channel, depending on the distribution method.

history

The music channel started in 1997 under the name Z +. In February 2001 it was taken over by VIVA Media AG and in June 2001 it was renamed VIVA +.

In January 2003, the commercial broadcaster was finally renamed VIVA TV. Since the takeover of VIVA Media AG by Viacom , it has belonged to the MTV parent company.

Well-known programs on the television station included the VIVA Chart Show, Club Rotation, Interaktív, Randikommandó and VIVA Horoszkóp.
