action

But he quickly realizes that in real life it is much more demanding to be a good father than in his television role.
characters
Hobbs family
David Hobbs ( Scott Baio ) is the father of the family. For the past ten years he has played "World's Best Daddy" in a television series. He was rarely home during this time and knew his television family almost better than his real ones. With the end of the series, he retires into private life and takes care of his three children and the household. Because of his television role, too, he underestimates his new tasks and has to seek advice from his wife after all, after he has been quite clumsy in some things.
Amy Hobbs ( Alanna Ubach ) is the mother of the family. At the beginning of the series, she decides to go back to her old job as an actress and hands the scepter over to her husband at home. She also has to realize that a lot has changed after her long absence from business, and she is no longer as pretty as in earlier times. Meanwhile, she also has to support David in his role as a househusband. He likes to brag about his accomplishments as a father, all of which happened on the sitcom.
Emily Sarah Hobbs ( Ryan Newman ) is the eldest daughter of the family at 14. She is portrayed as a typical teenager, cares a lot about her appearance, is interested in boys, and sometimes has stress with her parents.
Joe Hobbs ( Jackson Brundage ) is the middle child and the only son in the family. He is portrayed as a kind of nerd who hates being late, but also enjoys his carefree life as a child. He gets nervous very quickly.
Janie Hobbs ( Bailey Michelle Brown ) is the 5 year old daughter. Even if she is still very young, she is not afraid to express her opinion openly, even if not everyone always likes it.
Others
Kevin Kostner ( Ramy Youssef ) was David's production assistant on his sitcom. He's helping him around the house now.
Marcus Barnes ( Mark Curry ) was the scriptwriter for the sitcom. He lives across the street.
Mary Barnes ( Jaylen Barron ) is a friend of Emily.
Charlotte ( Alyvia Alyn Lind ) is Janie's best friend.
Olivia ( Danika Yarosh ) is a friend of Emily
