Jaylen Barron

Jaylen Madison Barron (born March 3, 1998 in Nevada ) is an American actress who is also used as a model in print and television commercials. She gained international fame through her roles as Mary Barnes in See Dad Run and Lauren Dabney in My Sister Charlie .

Life

Jaylen Barron worked mostly as a model until she was eleven years old. After that, the family moved to Hollywood . During her time in Nevada, Barron began working as a model in 2002, and from 2006 she focused on acting. She also appeared in various local theater productions, often in the leading role. She had her breakthrough in 2012. That year she had short guest appearances in one episode each of the two series Bones and Shake It Up, and took on the recurring role of Mary Barnes in the Nickelodeon youth sitcom See Dad Run in which she was seen in eight different episodes until 2013.

In that year she was also nominated for a Young Artist Award in the category "Best Guest Actress in a TV Series - Between 14 and 16 Years" at the Young Artist Awards 2013 for her engagement in Bones - The Bone Hunter . She was also nominated for her role as Mary Barnes in See Dad Run in the "Best Recurring Actress in a TV Series" category. Furthermore, Barron made it this year in the extended cast of the Disney Channel series My Sister Charlie , in which she was seen in the fourth and final season in a total of five episodes as Lauren Dabney . There she appeared as the granddaughter of Mrs. Estelle Dabney (played by Patricia Belcher ) and later as the friend of the main actor Gabriel "Gabe" Duncan ( Bradley Steven Perry ) and was awarded a Young Artist Award for this role at the Young Artist Awards 2014 Nominated in the "Best Recurring Actor in a TV Series" category. In the following year she was nominated for a YAA, this time in the category “Best Recurring Actor in a TV Series - Between 17 and 21 Years”. As of fall 2015, she shot a total of 14 episodes of the sixth and seventh seasons of Shameless . Season 6 aired from January 2016.

In the German-language dubbed versions of the productions in which she had previously participated, she was lent the voice by various dubbing actors. In one episode of Bones, Giovanna Winterfeldt was the German voice of Barron, while Sarah Alles lent the German voice in See Dad Run . Two different voice actors spoke for her in the series My Sister Charlie : Felicitas Bauer and Sarah Tkotsch .

Her younger sister Sofia Mary also starred in an episode of See Dad Run .
