Underemployed (German: unteremployed ) is an American television series that was produced for MTV in 2012 . It revolves around five friends, all of whom are professionally stuck in a dead end. The series was filmed in Chicago .

Friends Miles, Raviva, Lou, Sophia and Daphne are anything but satisfied after they graduate. Miles dreams of a career as an underwear model, but only works in a bar as a scantily clad waiter. Sophia was the final speaker at the time and still dreams of a career as a writer, but now she works at the checkout of a donut chain. Meanwhile, Daphne is working as an unpaid intern in an advertising agency. Lou and Raviva ended their relationship because of their respective dreams. Lou is an environmental activist while Raviva still wants to become a famous singer. But then Raviva is pregnant at Lou's door.

“MTV does a harmless little comedy about six friends who keep landing on their feet. The viewer can rely on that and it gives a warm feeling. Or get bored pretty easily. Depending on how you want to see it. "
