The Astor Trio is a classical chamber music ensemble with violin , guitar and double bass .
It was founded in 2006 by Tobias Kendung and members of the Cologne Classical Ensemble . The namesake is the Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla . The trio's repertoire is broad and supported by the arrangements by Tobias Kendung. Since the CD "Bach & Piazzolla" was released in 2012, it has established itself in the German chamber music scene and is a repeated guest at international music festivals and concert series. In 2015 the second CD "Gershwin & de Falla" was released. Concert performances were broadcast on the radio. Since 2011 the line-up has consisted of Alexander Prushinskiy (violin), Tobias Kendung (guitar) and Stanislav Anischenko (double bass).
