Tobias Kendung

Tobias Kassung (born October 1, 1977 in Koblenz ) is a German classical guitarist .

He studied with Hubert Käppel at the Hochschule für Musik Köln and continued his studies with Simon Dinnigan at the UCE Birmingham Conservatoire of Music and with Antigoni Goni at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles .

He is the founder and artistic director of the Cologne Classical Ensemble . From 2005 to 2008 he was a lecturer at the University of Cologne . Together with Hubert Käppel , he founded KSG Exaudio, a label for guitar music in 2009. Together with the violinist Alexander Prushinskiy and the double bass player Stanislav Anischenko , he forms the Astor Trio . Concerts as a soloist, with the Cologne Classical Ensemble , the Astor Trio and in various duo line-ups have taken him through Europe , the USA , South America , Japan , Australia and the Arabian Peninsula . He has released recordings for Sony Classical and KSG Exaudio. Recordings of his concerts and compositions were broadcast by ARD , WDR , HR, Bayerischer Rundfunk and SWR , among others . His arrangements and compositions have been published by Tonos (Darmstadt) and KSG Edition (Cologne).
