Inbar Lavi (born October 27, 1986 in Ramat Gan ) is an Israeli actress .

Life

Inbar Lavi was born and raised in Israel . She suffered from asthma as a child , during which time she watched many films and then wanted to become an actress. Early inspirations for her were the Israeli-American actress Natalie Portman in Léon - The Professional and the Israeli actress Ayelet Zurer . Lavi studied ballet and modern dance at the Kiarat Sharet School of Arts in Holon . At the age of 16 she took acting lessons for the first time at the Sofi Moskowitz School of Acting in Tel Aviv. After graduating from school, she moved to New York in 2004. There she played in a few off-Broadway plays. A few months later she moved to Los Angeles. There she studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in Hollywood . She returned to the theater before receiving her first television roles.

In 2008 she made her first television appearance in the series Privileged . After various episode roles, she received a leading role in the short-lived MTV series Underemployed in 2012 . She gained greater prominence through her role as Raviva , an aspiring singer. This was followed by another leading role as Veronika Dotsen in the Fox series Gang Related , which, however, was canceled after a season. She then had several roles with a longer storyline, such as 2014 in Sons of Anarchy (2 episodes), 2015 in The Last Ship (6 episodes) and 2017 in Prison Break (8 episodes). From 2017 to 2018 Lavi starred as the female lead in the Bravo series Imposters as con artist Maddie Jonson .
