Apple commercial

A hammer thrower was urgently needed for a commercial for the redesigned Apple Macintosh , after almost one death occurred during rehearsals with actresses inexperienced in this discipline. Therefore, the choice fell on the passionate amateur athlete Anya Major. The official world premiere of the 60-second commercial was shown on January 22, 1984 at the Super Bowl between the Los Angeles Raiders and the Washington Redskins (38: 9).

Nikita music video and own recordings

Then Major played the border soldier Nikita on the inner-German border in the music video of the song of the same name .

In the tradition of this portrayal, Major soon afterwards recorded the also Russian -sounding song Moscow Nights , in which she missed “her Nikita”. Her likeness appeared on the cover of the record in the representation of Nikita from the aforementioned music video. After another recording of the song One Word , her short but sensational career in the global limelight came to an end. Today she lives in England with her husband Kim Rajah and their three children .
