Border soldier
Border soldiers are soldiers who perform their service at a state border and actively contribute to securing state borders and territories . Border soldiers are increasingly being deployed in crisis areas and are given special training.
Today, for example, China , Syria and Russia (see border troops of Russia ) use specially trained soldiers for deployment at borders - whether their own or those of allies. During the time of the East-West conflict, the term border soldier was particularly common for border troops of the GDR on the inner-German border .
