Guy Code is an American television series that first aired on MTV on November 15, 2011 . In the program, the so-called Guy Code , unwritten laws on how men should behave, is discussed. The series has 5 seasons, the last episode ran on March 25, 2015 in the USA.

background

The idea for the series came from the young screenwriter Ryan Ling after a friend had lived with him for a while. MTV2 produced a pilot episode for $ 15,000 and then broadcast it in series.

Several singers, actors, and comedians appear on the series alongside a few individual men and offer tips on how they think young men should behave. Frequent topics are dealing with girls and friends. The female counterpart Girl Code has existed since 2013 . In 2013, the offshoot Guy Court , which was discontinued after a season, ran , in which men had to answer before a (fictitious) court for a violation of the Guy Code.

In Germany, the Guy Code series is broadcast on the paid channel MTV Germany . In free-to-air television, the program was initially broadcast on VIVA Germany , and since 2016 on the sister program Nickelodeon in its Nicknight program window .
