David Del Rio (born September 29, 1988 in Miami , Florida ) is an American actor and director .

Life

David was born on September 29, 1988 in Miami, Florida. He attended the New World School of the Arts in Miami, which he graduated in 2006. He then studied at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts .

He began his acting career in 2008 with a guest appearance on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit . A year later he got a leading role in the Nickelodeon series Troop - The Monster Hunters , in which he played the role of Felix Garcia . He was there until 2011. This was followed by guest appearances in Southland as Martin Estrada and in CSI: Vegas as Matthew Lapaz . In 2011 he starred alongside Sarah Hyland and Matt Prokop as Ari in the Disney Channel Original Movie Movie Star - Kissing to a Happy End .

He also starred in the Broadway - Musical In the Heights with. There he replaced Robin de Jesús , who had sustained an injury.

In 2018 David Del Rio directed his first feature film with the horror film Sick for Toys , with Camille Montgomery in the lead role .
