Todd Stashwick (born October 16, 1968 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American actor . He is known for one-off appearances in various, very popular US series; mostly he can only be seen in one episode. He had leading roles in series such as The Riches as Dale Malloy , in Heroes as Eli , in Justified as Ash Murphy or as Father Kieran O'Connell in The Originals , where he was especially known to a younger audience.

Life

Stashwick was born in Chicago and grew up in a suburb of Chicago. In his youth he worked in The Second City , an improvisational theater. He attended Illinois State University in Normal . After graduating, he worked again for The Second City and during this time traveled to various large cities. He was also part of the ensemble of The Hothouse in Los Angeles and Hoof! in Liverpool . He is also in demand as a screenwriter or co-producer. So he worked on the storyline of a Star Wars game created by Electronic Arts and Visceral Games .

He is also active as a voice actor. For example, his voice has been heard in Phineas and Ferb or in more recent films by Tom and Jerry .

He has been married to Charity Stashwick since 1997.

Career

In 1997 he was seen as Link in an episode of the Remember WENN series. This was his first film role. This was followed in 1998 by a cast in an episode of the Law & Order series . In addition to roles in small TV productions, roles in TV series such as Angel - Hunter of Darkness , Buffy - The Vampire Slayer , CSI: Vegas , American Dreams , Malcolm in the Middle , Monk , Star Trek: Enterprise , CSI: NY , Still Standing or How I met your mother . He had a leading role in the series The Riches , as well as in Heroes . The most recent series that Stashwick has seen include Teen Wolf , Gotham and Criminal Minds . From 2013 to 2014 he played in The Originals , the role of Kieran O'Connell , the priest of the local church who is killed during the transition from human to vampire.
