Railway stations in Rheinberg
The city of Rheinberg can be reached via two train stations for local rail passenger transport .
- the train station "Rheinberg (Rheinland)", which is about 1500 m to the west from the city center, and
- the train station "Millingen (near Rheinberg)".
Both stations are on the Lower Rhine route , a single-track branch line between Xanten and Moers -Rheinkamp, which is electrified from Rheinberg-Millingen in the direction of Duisburg. Local rail passenger transport is carried out by the NordWestBahn (NWB), which uses LINT 41 diesel multiple units in single and double traction.
The tariff of the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr applies to all local public transport (ÖPNV) and the NRW tariff applies to all tariff areas .
