The RVN regional traffic Niederrhein GmbH , shortly RVN was until 2017 an independent bus company based in Wesel . The company was a 100% subsidiary of BVR Busverkehr Rheinland GmbH . It began operations on January 1, 2002 as a result of the division of the previous Busverkehr Rheinland GmbH into Busverkehr Rheinland GmbH, Regionalverkehr Niederrhein GmbH and Regionalverkehr Euregio Maas-Rhein GmbH and ended - entrepreneurially - in August 2017. The RVN mainly served the area of Former Verkehrsgemeinschaft Niederrhein in North Rhine-Westphalia , which became part of the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr on January 1, 2012 .

Since November 1, 2008, RVN has operated under the brand name DB Rheinlandbus .

A number of trips on all lines are served by subcontractors. The majority are the companies "Verhuven Reisen" from Xanten, "Faltraco" from Wesel and "Schlothmann" from Moers. Lines 65, 66, 75, 87, 293, 299 and 98 are mainly used for school traffic and have limited or no service during the school holidays.
