Brandon Soo Hoo (born November 2, 1995 in Pasadena , California ) is an American actor of Chinese descent.

Life

Brandon Soo Hoo was born on November 2, 1995 in Pasadena, California. He is of Chinese descent and speaks Mandarin and Cantonese . Brandon began his acting career in 2006 at the age of ten while advertising for Toys "R" Us , Land Rover and ExxonMobil on television . The following year he had a supporting role on Sesame Street . In the same year he made his feature film debut in Ben Stiller's Tropic Thunder , in which he played the role of the leader of the Flaming Dragon gang Tran . For this role he received in 2009 the Young Artist Award as Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture .

In 2009 he played the young Storm Shadow in the action film G.I. Joe - Cobra's secret mission and was nominated again for a Young Artist Award. This was followed by guest appearances in My Name is Earl , Ehe ist… , Community and Workaholics . In 2010 he was for the role of Mike Oh in the Nickelodeon - Pilot Everyday Kid cast, but did not go into production. Since 2011 he has appeared in the Nickelodeon television series Supah Ninjas . In the 2013 novel adaptation of The Big Game , he will star alongside Harrison Ford and Abigail Breslin as Fly Molo . It was also announced in June 2012 that Soo Hoo had landed a lead role in Nick Cannon's comedy series Incredible Crew , which aired on Cartoon Network from December 2012 to April 2013 .

Since March 2014 he can be seen in the role of Scott Fuller in the series From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series developed by Robert Rodriguez , which is based on the 1996 film of the same name .

Soo Hoo has been learning Tae Kwon Do since 2007 and holds a black belt. He also trains Wing Chun Kung Fu .
