Brian Robbins

Brian Robbins , actually Brian Levine, (born November 22, 1963 in Brooklyn , New York City ) is an American film producer and director . In October 2018, Robbins was named president of the broadcaster and animation studio Nickelodeon .

Life

Robbins began his film career as an actor. He had one of his first roles in the television series Cagney & Lacey . Since his acting career did not promise him success, he ended it in 1993. Since then he has worked as a producer and director. He became known u. a. as a director of films like Hardball or Voll gepunktet . Brian Robbins is a producer of various television series, e. B. Smallville or One Tree Hill , as well as several films. He was nominated for several film awards such as the Emmy Award (1995) and won the Directors Guild of America Award (1998). He was also nominated for the 2008 Golden Raspberry with his feature film Norbit . Since the 1999 film Varsity Blues , he has worked regularly with the film editor Ned Bastille .

Robbins is married and has two children.
