action

season 1

Tree Hill is a small town in the US state of North Carolina and the home of the high school - Basketball teams "Tree Hill Ravens". The series is about half-brothers Lucas and Nathan Scott.

Dan Scott dated Lucas' mother, Karen Roe, in high school. When Karen became pregnant, he left her in pursuit of a professional basketball career. Shortly afterwards, in college, he met Nathan's mother, Deb Lee, who also became pregnant by him. Since Dan was unable to play basketball professionally due to an injury, he married Deb and became a car dealer. Nathan grew up with both parents, while Lucas was raised by Karen alone. She only received support from Dan's older brother Keith Scott.

Like his father when he was at school, Nathan is the key player in the Tree Hill Ravens. Lucas initially only shows his talent for this sport in his spare time, until the Ravens coach, Whitey Durham, is made aware of him by Keith. He then makes Lucas a member of the team. After Lucas' admission, Nathan feels threatened and tries, on the advice of his father, to cause problems for Lucas. Nathan gets the impression that Lucas is interested in his girlfriend Peyton and in return tries to make him jealous by taking tuition from his best friend Haley. However, a short time later he finds out that he has fallen in love with Haley, which is mutual. At first he is ashamed to be seen with her, but after a while he stands by her.

Lucas begins dating Brooke Davis, Peyton's best friend, after being turned down by Peyton. Peyton later confesses that she wants to be with him. Nevertheless, he begins a relationship with Brooke. Peyton and Lucas get closer again when their father goes missing. Brooke sometimes suspects nothing of the love between Lucas and Peyton until she sees them together through a webcam in Peyton's room. Eventually, Lucas ends his relationship with Brooke to be with Peyton. This, however, can not deal with the now prevailing hostility between Brooke and her and withdraws from Lucas again.

Karen receives the offer to attend a seminar in Italy for a few weeks. After initial hesitation, she accepts the offer and leaves Lucas in Keith's care. When Lucas and Keith are on their way to the airport to pick up Karen, there is an accident, as a result of which Lucas almost dies. The beginning romance between Keith and Karen is ended abruptly because she cannot forgive Keith for driving drunk.

There is growing estrangement between Dan and Deb. Deb eventually requests a divorce from Dan. Nathan, who is overwhelmed with the situation and already has a very tense relationship with his parents, especially Dan, is moving out of home. Meanwhile, Karen and Deb become friends. Deb becomes a partner in Karen's Café, among other things. Keith has to sell his workshop to Dan to pay for Lucas medical treatment. Dan had led him to believe that he was going to help Keith with it and that the sale was a formality. But no sooner has the contract been signed than he completely reorganizes the company and Keith gives up the workshop entirely. After Keith makes a marriage proposal to Karen, which she rejects, he decides to leave Tree Hill. Lucas decides to go with him after his recovery. He can't really deal with the emotional chaos with Peyton and Brooke.

In the season finale, Dan surprises Deb and Keith red-handed and suffers a heart attack the next morning . Brooke and Peyton make up again. Nathan and Haley have now married, which Lucas doesn't like at all.

Nathan encourages Haley to sing at the club. The marriage of the two is put to the test by the arrival of musician Chris Keller. Haley begins working with Chris and develops feelings for him. Chris finally gives her the chance for a great career. Out of jealousy, Nathan asks her to choose him or the music. When Haley opts for music and leaves Tree Hill, Nathan wants to file for divorce.

Meanwhile, he meets with Felix's sister Anna, but still has feelings for Brooke. Anna leaves Tree Hill during the summer time after admitting to herself that she is same-sex oriented.

After Dan's heart attack, Deb stayed with him for the time being, but soon couldn't cope with the disappointments of their failed marriage and was increasingly taking pain pills. To get her addiction under control, she goes to rehab after nearly collapsing and losing control of herself.

Meanwhile, Karen meets with her college professor, Andy Hargrove. Meanwhile, Keith falls in love with Jules and even wants to marry her. Lucas finds out that Dan has put her on Keith to get revenge on him. He then moves to Dan to secretly spy on him. Andy helps him with this. On the day of Keith's wedding, Andy gives Karen papers he received from his private investigator. Karen learns that Jules is using a false name and confronts her. Jules, who now really loves Keith, flees out of fear and leaves him standing in front of the altar. After Keith learns the truth, he too leaves town.

Nathan's uncle Cooper has shown up in town and takes him and Lucas to a race track. Nathan provokes an accident because he is frustrated with the situation with Haley. After the operation he wakes up in the hospital, calls Haley and forbids her to come to him. Haley returns to her music frustrated. Nathan moves back to Dan after the hospital stay.

A little later, she learns that her birth mother has cancer. They put together a charity CD to support the cancer foundation. When Peyton receives the finished CDs and wants to show them to her mother, she finds them dead in her apartment. Then Peyton collapses crying.

Lucas and Brooke get closer again. He and Peyton have developed a good friendship since then.

He returns on the night of the prom and holds Peyton and Brooke in Peyton's basement. The three engage in a brutal fight in which Peyton and Brooke emerge victorious. After that, Brooke and Peyton make up again. It is later learned that the reason Ian's stalking was because of Peyton 's resemblance to his late ex-girlfriend, for whose death he blames himself.

Skills gets Lucas' place in the “Ravens” team. Lucas himself is allowed to play in the team, but only for a limited time per game. Due to financial problems, Nathan borrows money from Daunte, a loan shark who demands that Nathan manipulate the semi-finals of the play-offs and then lose the final. When the “Ravens” win the championship with Nathan's help, the loan shark wants to kill Nathan, but the pregnant Haley is hit by his car. Lucas witnesses and rushes to meet Haley. He suffers a heart attack because he did not take his medication before the game. Dan goes to jail for Nathan, who is said to have beaten Daunte to death. The autopsy shows, however, that Nathan is not to blame, and Dan is released a short time later.

Karen learns that Dan was protecting Nathan and lets him participate in her life again. She realizes that he wants to take responsibility for her and the baby. Deb, on the other hand, has relapsed and with her addiction is also endangering the friendship with Karen. After an unsuccessful suicide attempt, she is taken to a rehab clinic again.

His dream of playing professional basketball has been shattered and he drowns his frustration with alcohol. As the season progresses, Nathan begins rehab to fully use his legs again.

In the meantime, Lucas has released writer's block and he is starting to write a new book called "The Comet". He lives with his editor Lindsey Strauss in his mother's house. She realizes that the relationship between Peyton and Lucas is not really over yet. When she finds the old engagement ring for Peyton in Luca's sock drawer, she confronts him. To convince Lindsey of his love, Lucas makes her a marriage proposal and a wedding party follows, but Lindsey lets him stand in front of the altar. She realized that Lucas's new book "The Comet" refers to Peyton, as the model of her distinctive convertible is also called that. After Jamie is kidnapped during the wedding of Carrie, Haley's hired nanny, Dan finds him, just out of prison, outsmarts Carrie, and saves his grandson.

Dan tries to interfere more and more in the lives of the protagonists and tries to help them because he regrets his earlier crimes, especially the murder of his brother. Later in the season, we learn that Dan only has six months to live due to his heart disease, but his family doesn't seem to care.

Brooke is now trying to adopt a baby, but is not allowed to do so. Another baby, who is in Tree Hill for an operation for a few days, lives with her.

After Lucas tries again and again to win Lindsey back, Lindsey claims that she has met someone. Lucas takes refuge in a day-long drunkenness and is brought back on his feet by Haley. At the end of the season you see Lucas calling someone and asking if “she” wants to marry him. Brooke, Peyton and Lindsey get a call right now. One is left in the dark about who he was talking to.

Dan now has a good chance of a heart transplant, but ends up being hit by a car and lying unconscious on the street.

Season 6

The first episode tells you who Lucas called - Peyton. Happy and in love, they travel to Las Vegas to get married, but later realize that they want a real wedding. Dan is in the hospital with several broken bones. You can see, however, that this is not a real hospital, but a sick room in a house that was furnished by the former nanny Carrie. Nathan continues to work hard on his comeback and trains diligently with the team. Brooke is ambushed by a masked man in her shop and beaten up by him. She looks very worn out and only tells Deb about it, gets herself a gun and learns how to use it through Deb. She tells her friends that she fell down the stairs.

Carrie devises a plan to kidnap Jamie in a way that will suspect Dan. However, Dan’s heart disease stands in the way. Carrie is still holding Dan prisoner and tells him that she is enjoying killing him. Dan managed to break free, but couldn't get far because of his injured leg and was knocked unconscious by Carrie. Meanwhile, Carrie calls Haley pretending to be Dan's nurse and telling her that Dan is bad. After a series of fights, Dan eventually shoots Carrie.

Quentin is shot in a gas station, where he hears the perpetrator say "Have a nice evening". Especially Nathan, who worked with him on his comeback, Haley, who was his teacher, and Jamie, who became friends with Quentin, are deeply affected. Nathan is called by a manager of an NBA team and expects that he can finally play again; however, it turns out that the team only needs a new coach. That's why he doesn't take the job. He later became a player on a slamball team; however, when he is thrown through a pane of glass at a game, Nathan terminates his contract.

Peyton makes an appointment with her alleged father, who does not come to the meeting. Since Lucas' book tour goes wrong, he returns to Peyton in Tree Hill disappointed. His book Ravens is still to be made into a film. It soon turns out that Peyton and producer Julian know each other from LA. The two were briefly a couple after Lucas and Peyton broke up, until Julian discovered that Peyton was still attached to Lucas.

An adoption agency wants Brooke to entrust a newborn baby. Sam, who is a student of Haley and Brooke's foster child, is now afraid that she will have to leave, but Brooke assures her that she can stay as long as she wants. However, when Brooke informs the adoption agency that she currently has a teenager living with her, it complicates the whole adoption process more complicated than expected. After Sam confesses that she was responsible for the attack on Brooke, she disappears and is beaten and imprisoned by her friend's brother, who was also Quentin's killer. However, Brooke looks for Sam everywhere and ultimately saves her, which improves her relationship with Sam.

Lucas is said to be part of the production of the film, but categorically refuses. Julian doesn't give up so easily, although he could make the film without Lucas. He talks to Peyton, who in turn tries to convince Lucas that he should be there while the film is being made. Julian later begins a relationship with Brooke.

After Deb breaks up with Skills, he soon meets up with Jamie's teacher, Lauren.

Peyton also becomes pregnant from Lucas. However, complications exist during pregnancy and there is a possibility that Peyton and the baby could die in childbirth. Shortly thereafter, Peyton had a car accident, but both survived. This makes you more and more aware of how quickly life can end. So she wrote a reminder video for her unborn daughter. Lucas, however, has no understanding of this and refuses to marry Peyton now, at this point in time, because he does not believe that she will die soon. When Lucas decided otherwise, the two married family and friends at the point where they spoke for the first time. Then the two of them go home to Lucas in their wedding outfits. Lucas goes to the garage to prepare Peyton's surprise (he was fixing Peyton's car after her accident). After looking briefly at the car, he goes into Peyton's house when he suddenly sees her lying on the floor covered in blood. He drives Peyton to a hospital where their baby will be delivered while Peyton is passed out. Peyton is in a coma for a few days after delivery and Lucas has to take care of the baby on his own. When Lucas is sitting at the bedside again and again and tells the comatose Peyton that he still doesn't have a name for her daughter because he wants them to decide it together, Peyton wakes up. Karen, Luca's mother, is taking the baby to the hospital and everyone is happy. Peyton and Lucas decide to name the child Sawyer Brooke Scott (the middle name in honor of Peyton's best friend Brooke). Thus, Sawyer is the second child in Tree Hill that has the former surname of the mother as a first name and the first name of the best friend as the middle name. Finally, mother, father and child leave Tree Hill in Peyton's car.

Season 7

The seventh season has another time jump and begins a year after the last episode of the sixth season and that without Lucas and Peyton.

The first scene shows Dan speaking into a camera and standing in front of a digital clock that counts the seconds that have remained since he was predicted to have heart failure. It is later learned that Dan has his own TV series called "Redemption", in which he pretends to change his life in the future because he cannot change what he has done. Then you can see that Dan is married to Rachel Gatina. Haley is in a studio singing a new song while you see Nathan, who has just finished his first year with the NBA . Jamie's seventh birthday is approaching and Haley's sister Quinn appears, who is married but has not brought her husband David with her. It later emerges that Quinn has left her husband and is divorcing him.

Another new character is Clay, Nathan's sports agent, who got him an advertising contract for a body spray. Clay is a family friend and invited to Jamie's birthday. Clay initially hides the fact that he was married to Sara and that she even died. Over time, Clay falls in love with Quinn and after initial difficulties, the two start a relationship. A woman appears who claims to have slept with Nathan and to be pregnant by him. He then loses his advertising contracts and his contract with the Bobcats is no longer renewed. Dan later helps his son by inviting the woman, Renee, to his show. There, Dan can use a polygraph test to prove that Renee lied. They overcome their problems and thanks to Clay and Quinn, Nathan can play for the Bobcats again. Haley goes on tour with Nathan and Jamie. Haley's mother dies of cancer. Haley cannot cope with this and she becomes depressed.

Julian and Brooke are still happy together and spent some time in LA together. Brooke ends up back in Tree Hill. Julian stays in LA for a while because he got an offer to do an eight-month film in New Zealand, which he doesn't accept. A little later he moves into Brooke's house. Millicent, meanwhile, has taken over Brooke's position at Clothes over Bro’s and her behavior. Brooke hires a new model, Alex Dupre, for Clothes over Bro’s . Brooke and Julian split up because Brooke believes he has feelings for Alex that she has since fired for being undisciplined. Julian and Alex are making a film together that Alex wrote and directed by Julian. In addition, Alex plays the main role. Alex falls in love with Julian, but after he tells her that he doesn't care about her, she tries suicide. Then Alex and Julian's friendship deepens and she accepts that Julian still loves Brooke. At the end of the season, Julian and Brooke get back together.

Clay, who was temporarily fired by Nathan, is looking for new clients. This is how he meets Katie Ryan, who looks very similar to his late wife Sara. Because of this, he does not want to represent them. Katie then finds out about Clay and dyes her hair to look even more like Sara and follows Clay and Quinn every step of the way.

Furthermore, Alex is filmed by her co-actor having sex with him. The co-cast's laptop with the sex video on is stolen, and the film is eventually released to cover up the fact that the co-cast is gay. Mia and Chase split up, resulting in a kiss between Chase and Alex in the season finale. Shortly afterwards, Chase learns that Mia now regrets the decision.

Millicent becomes a model for Clothes over Bro’s , and as a result of her new behavior, Mouth breaks up with her and she becomes addicted to drugs - after which she is fired by Brooke. She is later hired again, but the relationship with Mouth is still destroyed. Skills has to move because of his job, and Jamie's teacher, Lauren, and Mouth fall in love. However, Mouth does not deepen this relationship because the friendship with skills is more important to him.

In the season finale, Julian Brooke makes a marriage proposal, which also accepts it. Haley has overcome her depression and found her will to live again. You and Nathan are expecting a second child. Clay and Quinn are shot by the mentally disturbed Katie Ryan, it remains unclear whether they survived.

Meanwhile, after Brooke quits her company, Victoria is released from prison. After helping Brooke achieve her sixth season goals in life, Julian finds the inspiration she has been missing since she was poor. After their wedding, Brooke and Julian decide to adopt a child. A short time later, Brooke received a job offer at her former company Clothes over Bros in New York. She surprisingly learns that she is pregnant herself.

Katie falls into a coma after shooting Clay and Quinn. Both wake up a short time later. However, Quinn in particular has to struggle with the fear of Katie's possible return and is therefore going to Africa for professional reasons. Nevertheless, she tracks down Katie without Clay's knowledge. Quinn meets with Dan, who now owns a takeaway, to ask him for help as she wants to kill Katie. Dan dissuades her from the thought and Quinn throws her gun into the sea, at the same time Katie returns to Tree Hill to kill Quinn for good. Quinn gets a job in Puerto Rico and goes there with Lauren, Alex, and Brooke.

After spending a night together, Mouth and Milly slowly approach each other and re-establish a relationship over the course of the season. When Mouth applies to a broadcaster with a video in which Milly is also involved, surprisingly Milly gets the job for which she has no professional experience.

Meanwhile, Alex and Chase develop a relationship, much to Mia's displeasure. However, the relationship quickly falls apart as Alex receives a film offer and leaves Tree Hill. She returns shortly afterwards and there is a fight between Mia and Alex. However, when they learn that Chase would rather stay single, they settle their argument. Later there is a kiss between Alex and Chase. At Brooke and Julian's wedding, Chase and Mia again have sexual intercourse . Shortly afterwards, she leaves Tree Hill for the time being. After their relationship, Alex moves into a career as a singer and Chase spends more time with Chuck, Jamie's boyfriend.

When a violent storm sweeps over Tree Hill, Katie breaks into Quinn and Clay - who was away at the time - to settle their outstanding accounts with Quinn. After a long fight in the house, Quinn manages to get Katie's gun and shoots at it. She is carried away by paramedics after Quinn calls. Meanwhile, that night Lauren, Maddison, Chuck, and Jamie are involved in a car accident. Brooke manages to save everyone except Jamie, they are pushed by another car and fall into the water, both of which are trapped. Julian can free Jamie in time. Brooke, however, is in mortal danger and her heart stops beating for a while; but in the end she survives.

Haley and Nathan are expecting their second child. Nathan also leaves the NBA as his back pain worsens. Nathan then takes care of Clay's agency and takes on the job as a sports agent. Haley is also doing a new job on a crisis hotline and comes across a talented singer who she can ultimately win over for the label. In order for Nathan to start working as an agent, he has to go to college again to finish his degree, but his professor does not make it easy for him. Mouth is putting on a few pounds and Millie is worried about his health. Finally, she yells at him during their morning show Mouth and Millie in the Morning at. Mouth takes off again for Millie. Later, the two are expecting a child.

Davis and Jude are baptized. Godparents are Brooke's father Ted and Haley. A short time later, Brooke and her father founded the new label "Baker Man", which Victoria disliked very much. At first, this deal seems to have failed, as Ted is obviously not interested in his daughter, but again only in business. At the end of the season, however, Ted realizes his mistakes, not least because he and Victoria become a couple again.

Julian forgets Davis in the car while he's busy, the sun is shining on the car and the interior is getting too hot. Nothing happens to Davis, but Julian cannot forgive himself. Brooke eventually helps him find his way back to a normal life. Julian later decides to film Lucas' book An Unkindness of Ravens as a television series.

Brooke, who is actually very happy with her life, suddenly has to fear for her own life and that of her family again because Xavier, the man who killed Quentin and attacked her, is released from prison. The police see no reason to arrest Xavier again. Finally, Xavier ambushes Brooke in a parking garage and wants to kill her. Tara Richard, who runs the rival Tree Hill Café, and with whom Brooke is quite at odds, finally saves her.

Chris Keller is back in Tree Hill, running Red Bedroom Records. He's still in love with Haley, but is now in a relationship with Tara. Tara, in turn, sleeps with Chase, who was only recently left by Alex. After she has finished her album with Chris, she goes on tour and refrains from moving in with Chase. Likewise, the relationship between Tara and Chris ends after he learns that Tara has cheated on him with Chase.

Chuck's father comes to visit. In addition, Chuck is totally enthusiastic about Chris and Chase just seems to be the "babysitter" for him. When Chase suspects that Chuck is being beaten by his father and Chase overhears a family quarrel, he wants to protect Chuck and brutally beats Chuck's father down. Chase is arrested. Thanks to a courageous testimony from Chuck, Chase is not sentenced to prison, but has to give up his dream of piloting. When he is supposed to work as a bar manager again, he can buy the “Tric” with Karen's consent and Haley's help.

Clay begins to sleepwalk, during which time he buys drugs, among other things, and cannot remember it later. He admitted himself to a mental hospital. There he meets little Logan. It later emerges that Logan is Clay and Sara's child. After Sara's death, Clay was so traumatized that he banished everything that reminded him of Sara from his memories. It was only when he and his therapist, Dr. Alvarez, having properly processed what happened back then, Clay remembers his son again. After initial difficulties, Logan understands his father's previous problems and spends more time with him and Quinn. Happy and grateful for how events unfold and Quinn's unconditional support, Clay makes Quinn a marriage proposal shortly before the end of the season, which Quinn accepts. The two don't want a big wedding, which is why they get married that same week and adopt Quinn Logan.

So that Clay can devote himself to his sleep problems, Nathan steps in for him professionally and travels to Europe. When he gets back to Tree Hill he is kidnapped. Dan, Mouth, Julian, Haley and Chris are looking for him. During a spectacular rescue operation, Dan is shot and dies as a result of the injury. But he can save Nathan, who is very grateful to his father. Dan walks into the light with Keith after seeing that, despite his bad deeds, the people who mattered to him mourn him.
