Gregory Prange

Gregory Prange is an American film director and producer .

Life

Before Prange became a producer and director, he was responsible for various films as an editor in the late 1970s . In 1995 he was executive producer on the remake of the Flipper series with the current movie star Jessica Alba in one of the leading roles. He also worked as a producer on the crime series Nash Bridges before joining the youth series Dawson's Creek in 1998 . There he first worked as a supervising producer before taking on responsibility as one of the executive producers from the fourth season. Prange also directed several episodes of the series.

In 2000 Dawson's Creek got a spin-off with Rawley High - The First Semester , but it was canceled after a few episodes. After Dawson's Creek ended in 2003, Greg Prange stayed true to Wilmington , where the series was set. He then worked on One Tree Hill , where he also took on the duties of executive producer. Here he was responsible for directing several episodes in which he worked with his son Ian.

Awards

Gregory Prange was nominated with Millie Moore for the 1988 film To Heal a Nation (1988) for an Emmy in the category Outstanding Editing for a miniseries or a special single-camera production . In 2001 he was nominated for an American Latino Media Arts Award in the category of Outstanding Director of a Dramatic Series for Dawson's Creek (1998) .
