Craig Sheffer (born April 23, 1960 in York , Pennsylvania ) is an American actor .

Life

The son of a prison guard took one of his first roles in the soap opera Love, Lie, Passion in 1982 . Sheffer then appeared in a few teenage films, such as the John Hughes production, Isn't She Wonderful? (1987) as a spoiled rich youth. In the early 1990s, he reached the height of his acting career with leading roles in movies, such as the horror flick Cabal - The Brut of the Night (1990) by Clive Barker . Probably his best-known roles he played as the older brother of Brad Pitt in the literary film From the Middle Rivers a River (1992) by Robert Redford and as a neighbor of Cameron Diaz in the comedy Head Over Water (1996).
