Rock Aliens (Original title: Voyage of the Rock Aliens ) is an American film directed by James Fargo from 1984 with Pia Zadora and Craig Sheffer in the lead roles.

action

In the small American town of Speelburgh, the brash Frankie is in command when it comes to musical decisions. He and his rock band The Pack regularly manage to delight the residents of the small town with their music. Only his girlfriend Dee Dee dreams of a life as a singer. This in turn displeases Frankie, who would rather see her in the traditional female role.

One day a guitar-shaped spaceship lands in Speelburgh. There are aliens on board who also play in a band. The Pack's musical supremacy is jeopardized when the group's aliens threaten the musical competition. Frankie isn't just about to lose his status as the top musician in town: Aliens' leader Absid has an eye on his girlfriend Dee Dee. That's why he swears that he doesn't want to leave the musical supremacy to the aliens without a fight.

At the graduation party of the high school there is finally a rock-music competition between the two bands. As all residents focus on the final competition, the two mentally disturbed mass murderers Breather and Chainsaw manage to break out of the local prison. Suddenly the music fades into the background.

criticism

"[...] The meager story is stretched to feature length with boring staged music and dance interludes and stupid gags."
