Lebanese Atomic Energy Commission

The Lebanese Atomic Energy Commission or LAEC ( Arabic الهيئة اللبنانية للطاقة الذرية, DMG al-Haiʾa al-Lubnāniyya li-ṭ-Ṭāqa aḏ-Ḏarriyya ) is the nuclear regulatory authority of Lebanon . It has around 70 employees and is based in Riad El Solh 107 in Beirut . The agency was founded in 1996. In addition to the administration, the LAEC has five departments: Applied Research & Development, Environmental Radiation Control, Radiation Safety Support, Nuclear Security & Radialogical Emergency and Authorization Inspection & Regulation.
