Moira Kelly

Moira Kelly (born March 6, 1968 in New York City ) is an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

Kelly grew up in a large family of Irish descent. Her father was a musician, her mother was a nurse. She graduated from Connetquot Senior High School in 1986 and then studied at Marymount Manhattan College .

Kelly played her first role in a performance of the theater in her high school. As a professional actress, she made her debut in the television thriller Labyrinth of Lies from 1991. In the biopic Chaplin , she appeared on the side of Robert Downey junior . In the drama A Light in My Heart (1996) she played the role of Ann Mary Margaret Hawks , the daughter of Mildred Hawks ( Gena Rowlands ).

In 1999 and 2000, Kelly starred in the television series The West Wing . In 2001 she won the Screen Actors Guild Award as a member of the acting ensemble for the lead role of media consultant Mandy Hampton . For her role in the television series One Tree Hill , in which she starred from 2003 to 2006, she was nominated for the Teen Choice Award in 2005.

Kelly has been married to Steve Hewitt, a Texas businessman, since 2000 and has two children.
