Two Tickets to Paradise is an American comedy film from the year 2006 . Directed by Daniel Bernard Sweeney , who also produced the film, took on one of the leading roles and wrote the script with Brian Currie .

Friends of Mark, Billy McGriff and Jason Klein are all around 40 years old. The bond between Mark and his wife Sherry is getting weaker and weaker. Sherry leaves him and takes their son with him. McGriff catches his wife having an affair. Klein suggests his friends take a trip to a football game , for which he won tickets in a lottery. The friends go on a journey together.

The film was in Miami , in San Diego and in Wilmington ( North Carolina turned). Its production amounted to an estimated 1.75 million US dollars . The world premiere took place on April 6, 2006 at the Method Fest Independent Film Festival, which was followed by several other film festivals. In January 2008 the film was released on DVD in Greece . On July 22, 2008 it will be released in cinemas in the USA. To date it has not been shown in Germany or released on DVD.

Awards

Director Daniel Bernard Sweeney and John C. McGinley won 2006 Method Fest awards. Sweeney received an award from the Savannah Film and Video Festival and the Boston International Film Festival in 2006. Daniel Bernard Sweeney won the Action on Film Award of the Action on Film International Film Festival as director and actor. In 2007 he also won an award from the Accolade Competition, the Appalachian Film Festival, the Coney Island Film Festival, the Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival, the Santa Fe Film Festival, and the Vail Film Festival Audience Award. In 2008 he was awarded the Big Island Film Festival's Golden Honu Award.
