Vanna White , actually Vanna Marie Rosich (born February 18, 1957 in Myrtle Beach , South Carolina , United States ) is an American actress and television presenter , who became known through her work for the US wheel of fortune .
Career
Vanna White is the "wheel of fortune fairy" on the program Wheel of Fortune . Since 1982 she has been working as the assistant to presenter Pat Sajak for this game show . Because she mainly smiles, flips letters and applauds in this role, she is listed in the 1992 Guinness Book of Records as the "most frequent hand clap on television". Vanna White has also played in various US television series such as King of Queens since 1980 . In 1994 she was seen in the comedy Die nackte Kanone 33⅓ . She played herself in the comedy Two Tickets to Paradise (2006) by and with Daniel Bernard Sweeney .
