India de Beaufort (* 27. June 1987 in Kingston upon Thames , Surrey as India Beaufort Lloyd ) is a British actress .
life and career
India de Beaufort was born in Kingston upon Thames, England, as one of two children of Nick Lloyd and Karen de Beaufort, both of whom were also active as dancers in the entertainment industry. Her grandfather was originally from Calcutta , India . De Beaufort later attended Esher College in Surrey .
She has been an actress since 1996. Her first acting role was in an episode of the Next of Kin series . She then took on a recurring role on The Basil Brush Show . In 2006 she starred as Maya Goshtashdidar in Run, Fatboy, Run . In interviews she is often quoted, according to which this engagement led to devoting himself to acting and preferring this to a singing career. From 2009 to 2012 she played the role of Miranda Stone in the One Tree Hill series .
In 2012 she appeared in the role of India Jordain in the series Jane by Design and has since played regularly in American film and television productions, including How I Met Your Mother , Chicago PD , Castle , The Night Shift , Younger , 2 Broke Girls , Navy CIS: LA or Modern Family . Between 2014 and 2017, she voiced the character of Clover from the series King Julien . Since 2017, she has starred in the HBO series Veep as the presenter Brie Ramachandran . In the same year followed a leading role as Kristin Allen in the series Kevin (Probably) Saves the World .
De Beaufort is married to actor Todd Grinnell . In May 2018 they became parents to a son.
