Bryan Greenberg (actor)
Bryan Greenberg (born May 24, 1978 in Omaha , Nebraska ) is an American actor and musician .
Life
Bryan Greenberg is of Jewish descent and his parents are both psychologists. At the age of 12, he and his family moved to St. Louis , Missouri . After graduating from high school, Greenberg moved to New York City . There he attended an acting school at New York University , from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts .
During this time he took part in many theater productions. Among other things, he gave Romeo in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet at New York University. In 1997 he got his first minor television role in the American television series Law & Order . Due to his increasing popularity, an agent worked for Greenberg from then on . A year later he made his screen debut in the film Civil Trial, starring John Travolta .
After further smaller television roles, u. a. in Boston Public , Third Watch and The Sopranos , he received in 2004 the role of Matty Matthews in the teens - Comedy dotted full . From 2003 to 2006 he was in the US popular television series One Tree Hill . During this time he also starred in the HBO series Unscripted .
Greenberg played his first leading role in 2005 in the romantic comedy Couchgeflüster , with which he also made his breakthrough in Germany . In this he plays the young artist David Bloomberg, who falls in love with the 14-year-old patient ( Uma Thurman ) of his mother, a therapist ( Meryl Streep ).
In addition to his acting activities, Greenberg is also an active musician. He played three songs (including Lonely World and Someday ) in One Tree Hill and was on tour with actors from the series .
Bryan Greenberg has been married to his colleague Jamie Chung since October 31, 2015 , with whom he has been in a relationship since 2012 and engaged since December 2013.
