Julia Meynen
Julia Meynen (born August 6, 1982 in Berlin ) is a German dubbing artist , dubbing director , dialogue book author and singer .
Professional background
Julia Meynen grew up in Berlin and passed the Abitur examination at the Wald-Oberschule . Already at the age of ten she received permanent engagements as a voice actress, especially for Japanese cartoons. She also took on the role of little Ayumi Yoshida in the Japanese cartoon series Detective Conan , which she later dubbed in the films of the same name , and the role of the 15-year-old student Hitomi in The Vision of Escaflowne (2002), who suddenly turned into a another world is sucked in and has to prove itself there.
She has since appeared in numerous anime series as a female lead. For example, in Honoka Yukishiro spoke, one of the protectors of light in Pretty Cure (2005). Hakufu Sonsaku is also known as a high school student, who in Dragon Girls (2007) has to preserve the so-called soul stone as the chosen one, or from the science fiction series Eureka Seven (2007) as the protagonist of the same name, as well as the clumsy guitarist Yui of the girl band in K- On! Since 2006 she can be heard recurring in the fairy tale and fantasy world of Barbie , so she has now spoken of the heroine's close friend or sister in seven Barbie films . Since 2011, she has also lent her voice to the inquisitive pony Twilight Sparkle in the US animation series My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic .
She has also been cast for leading roles in well-known US series. She dubbed Amy Davidson in My Wild Daughters (2004-2006), Willa Holland in the 4th season of OC, California (2007), Lisa Goldstein since the 6th season in One Tree Hill (2010-), Amber Stevens in Greek (2010–) and Kerry Bishé in Season 9 of Scrubs (2011).
She has already worked a number of times in the radio play sector, for example in the horror series Goose Bumps from Europa Verlag in a row Ricky, the Reptil (1998) as Iris and in the episode Das verunschene Wolfsfell (2002) as Hannah. She also had two guest appearances in 2007 in the Gabriel Burns radio play series (episodes 23, 24) from the Follow-up label.
