Barbie and the Secret of Oceana (Original: Barbie in a Mermaid Tale ) is an American film directed by Adam L. Wood , which was released in 2010. It's another part of computer-animated films about Barbie .
action
Merliah, a surfer, lives with her grandfather on the beach in Malibu . When her hair suddenly turns pink during a surfing competition and she jumps off the surfboard because of it, she realizes that she can breathe and talk underwater. The dolphin Zuma informs her that her mother is a mermaid and also the queen of Oceana, the mermaid kingdom. Her mother and thus the kingdom are in great danger and only Merliah can save both of them by defeating her evil aunt Eris, who pretends to be queen.
Production and publication
The film was produced by Mattel Entertainment and Rainmaker Entertainment in 2010 and directed by Adam L. Wood . Elise Allen wrote the script and BC Smith wrote the music. Jordan Hemsley was responsible for the editing.
Universal Studios Home Entertainment released the film on March 9, 2010 under the title Barbie in a Mermaid Tale in the United States on DVD. Universal released the DVD in Germany, among others.
