A dubbing studio is a special type of recording studio . There are technical facilities for recording of language to existing films and series. The actors who lend the actors their voices are called dubbing actors . The entire company is often called this when it is active in this area.

While in some other countries foreign language cinema or television films are provided with subtitles , it has been customary in Germany for decades to lip-synch films with a German version.
