Barbie in: The 12 Dancing Princesses is a computer-animated film in the Barbie universe from 2006.

King Rudolf lives peacefully in his castle with his twelve daughters Ashlyn, Blair, Courtney, Delia, Edeline, Fallon, Hadley, Isla, Janessa, Kathleen, Lacey and Genevieve (Barbie). After the upbringing of his daughters was criticized by third parties, he asked his cousin Roswitha to teach his children good behavior.
The Duchess Roswitha, however, has evil in mind: with the intention of being able to take over Rudolf's kingdom, she poisons it. The twelve princesses are also harassed again and again by Roswitha. The girls' favorite pastimes - singing and dancing - are strictly prohibited.
Princess Genevieve and her eleven siblings find a gateway to a magical world. Here you can dance undisturbed without being under Roswitha's strict orders. Due to his poor health, Rudolf Roswitha has a document registered as a royal representative.
Together with the shoemaker Derek, who has fallen in love with Princess Genevieve, the princesses discover the Duchess's machinations. They outsmart Roswitha's henchmen and are able to put a stop to their activities. With some water from the magical world, the girls can restore their father's health.
The film ends with the wedding between the shoemaker and Princess Genevieve.
