John Doe

John Doe (* 25. February 1954 in Decatur , Illinois as John Nommensen Duchac ) is an American singer, songwriter , guitarist, bassist and actor. Doe is co-founder of the punk rock band X . At times he also played with the groups The Flesh Eaters and The Knitters . As an actor, Doe has appeared in numerous television series and several films.

biography

In 1977 John Doe and others founded the punk rock band X in Los Angeles . He is considered one of the most influential musicians in the American alternative rock scene of the early 1980s.

In 1990 Doe released his first solo album on which he played country rock . In the 1990s there were also recordings with X again, until the band finally broke up and only performed sporadically.

From 1986 Doe appeared as an actor. There had already been two documentaries with Band X before.
