Contributions to soundtracks

Jill Sobule also offers various songs for free download on her website. This includes a 1½ hour live concert on July 7th and 8th, 2007.

Others

For the production costs of a new studio album, Jill Sobule collected donations from her fans through her website in the first few weeks of 2008. The necessary funds of around US $ 80,000 were available at the beginning of March. For staggered donations, the donor received at least one advance copy of the new album (for US $ 25) up to a personal house concert by Jill Sobule (for US $ 10,000). A total of three house concerts were "donated", one of which, according to Jill Sobule, should take place in Germany.

The fundraising campaign aroused great interest from the trade press, as it was seen as a further step towards new business models for the production and distribution of music. In addition, this increased the artist's independence from specifications by record companies and producers as well as the participation of the consumer in the artistic creation process.
