Susan Walters

Susan Walters (born September 28, 1963 in Atlanta , Georgia ) is an American actress and former model . She attended Chamblee High School in Chamblee, Georgia, which she graduated in 1980.

life and career

Walters for her role as Diane Jenkins Newman in the CBS - soap opera Young and the Restless known that she played from 2001 to 2004 and to which it returned end of February 2010 for a short time. She had other recurring roles as the headmistress in The CW's One Tree Hill series and as the snobbish wife of the mayor of a small town in the Vampire Diaries TV series , which also runs on The CW .

She began her career as Lorna Forbes Perelli in the soap opera Loving from the pilot episode in June 1983 to late 1986. She then left the soap and appeared in various primetime TV productions by Aaron Spelling , including the final season of Hotel as Ryan Thomas. She appeared on Melrose Place as Tiffany Hart and was a student nurse on the Nighting Gales series throughout its run.

Walters' first major role was Priscilla Presley in the 1988 TV miniseries Elvis and I, and guest starred in CSI: Miami . She is also known for her appearances as Mulva (actually Dolores) on the NBC sitcom Seinfeld , which she played in 1993 and then again from 1996 to 1997. She also portrayed District Attorney Anne Osborne in the 1996 TV version of The Big Easy , which ran on the USA Network . In 1999 she appeared in the Disney Channel film Horse Sense , and its successor, Jumping Ship , from 2001. Walters has been married to actor Linden Ashby , who played Cameron Kirsten at her side in Shadow of Passion , and has with him two daughters.
