Robert Buckley
Robert Earl Buckley (born May 2, 1981 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actor who lives in Los Angeles. He was best known for his role as Kirby Atwood in Lipstick Jungle . After the series ended, he got the lead role of Clayton Evans in the series One Tree Hill in 2009 . In 2015 he got attention again for the first time through the series IZombie (2015-2019)
Life
Buckley was born in Los Angeles in 1981. He studied at the University of California, San Diego economy . After working as an economics consultant for a long time , he moved back to Los Angeles to pursue acting .
Career

Buckley made his acting debut in 2006 as Michael Bauer in the telenovela Fashion House . Although the series had a lot of viewers at the beginning, the audience's favor fell sharply, so that the series ended after 4 months.
In 2006, Buckley signed a contract with MyNetworkTV for another TV series. He played the role of Matthew Wakefield on American Heiress . The series ran out, however, with 65 episodes, of which only 26 were broadcast in the United States , in July 2007 after four months. However, the remaining 39 episodes were broadcast worldwide. That same year, Buckley appeared in an episode of Ghost Whisperer .
In 2008 he played the role of photographer Kirby Atwood in the TV series Lipstick Jungle . However, the series had low audience ratings from the start, which is why it was canceled in March 2009 after 2 seasons.
In 2009, The CW announced that Buckley had signed a contract for two contiguous episodes of the TV series Privileged in which he would play the role of David Besser . In June 2009 it was announced that Buckley would take on the role of Clayton Evans in One Tree Hill starting with the seventh season . Meanwhile, the ninth and final season of the series has aired. Since March 2015 he has played a leading role in the series iZombie .

In late 2005, Robert Buckley made his feature film debut in When a Killer Calls . The film opened in February 2006 at the same time as When a Stranger calls . In 2007 he played the Nik in the film Killer Movie . The film had problems in distribution, the planned theatrical release was canceled, so that the film was only released on DVD on February 3, 2009. In 2008 Buckley signed a contract to play Kyle in the Lifetime film Flirting with Forty, alongside Heather Locklear . The film premiered on December 6, 2008.
