action

Henry Martin and his girlfriend Jane Van Veen become property managers in a historic apartment building owned by Gavin Doran and his wife Olivia. The playwright Brian Leonard and his wife, the photographer, Louise and the doorman of the building Tony DeMeo also live in the house. However, no one knows that they have all made a pact with the devil that will make their dreams, goals, wants and needs come true.

production

On January 22, 2010 the broadcaster ABC announced the production of a pilot episode for the book series 666 Park Avenue by Gabriella Pierce. In addition, the broadcaster announced a further collaboration with Alloy Entertainment , who have already turned numerous book series into television series. David Wilcox, Leslie Morgenstern and Gina Girolamo are serving as executive producers. On May 11, 2011 it was announced that ABC had ordered the series for the 2012/2013 season. Initially 13 episodes were ordered. The scenes where the series is filmed, are located in the Cine Magic Riverfront Studios in New York district of Brooklyn . When Hurricane Sandy hit New York on October 29, 2012, the studios were partially flooded and the scenery was badly damaged.

In November 2012, ABC announced the discontinuation after producing 13 episodes.

The Ansonia (1905)

In the fictitious building The Drake , which at 999 Park Avenue on the Upper East Side is located, is in fact the The Ansonia , which is located between the 73rd and 74th street at 2109 Broadway on the Upper West Side is . Alongside the Dakota, the building is one of the most historic apartment buildings in Manhattan. The choice of the building and its renaming met with some criticism. The actual address of Drake, namely 999 Park Avenue , would be the intersection of 84th Street and Park Avenue and does not exist as a separate address in New York City. However, 666 Avenue Park is a real address. It is a three story 27 room duplex apartment located in a building on 660 Park Avenue . Virginia Graham Fair , the ex-wife of billionaire William Kissam Vanderbilt II at the time , had the apartment designed according to her specifications and at a cost of US $ 195,000 when the house was built. In all likelihood, based on her previous address, 666 Fifth Avenue , she chose the new address.

Casting

First, the role of homeowner Gavin Doran was cast with Terry O'Quinn . The young couple starred in Dave Annable and Rachael Taylor , who will star as Henry Martin and Jane Van Veen . On March 8, 2012, Mercedes Masöhn and Robert Buckley followed the project. The role of the wife of Gavin Olivia Doran went to Vanessa Lynn Williams .

After the serial order, Erik Palladino was promoted from the supporting actor to the main cast. In August 2012, Aubrey Dollar , Mili Avital , Mike Doyle , Enrique Murciano and Wendy Moniz were cast for supporting roles. In addition, were Tessa Thompson and Nick Chinlund committed for storylines.
