Mili Avital ( Hebrew מילי אביטל; * March 30, 1972 in Jerusalem , Israel ) is an Israeli film and theater actress .

Life

Mili Avital, daughter of graphic designers Noni and Iko Avital, grew up in Tel Aviv-Jaffa and Ra'anana and attended Thelma Yellin High School of Arts in Giv'atajim . She began her stage career at the age of 17. Soon afterwards she was playing in the Cameri , the city's most famous theater, and at the same time studying at the Thelma Yellin Art School for Fine Arts. The first film offers followed in 1992 and 1993.

In 1994 Avital moved to New York City, where she also initially worked in smaller theaters, when a talent scout noticed her just under a year later. She had her first US film role in the film Stargate by Roland Emmerich . On April 15, 1998, Avital hosted a program celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding of Israel .

In private, Avital was in a relationship with actor David Schwimmer for three years (1998–2001) before she married the screenwriter and philosophy professor Charles Randolph on July 4, 2004 . She lives with him in New York and Los Angeles .

In 2004 Avital was the director, producer and editor of a 25-minute documentary with the original US title: I Think Myself I Am All the Time Younger .
