Charles Randolph

Charles Randolph (born 1982 in Nashville ) is an American screenwriter and producer who became internationally known for films such as The Life of David Gale , The Interpreter , Love and other Drugs - Including and The Big Short .

life and career

Charles Randolph had his breakthrough as a writer in 2003 for his work on Alan Parker's crime drama The Life of David Gale with Kevin Spacey , Kate Winslet and Laura Linney in the lead roles. He then worked for director Sydney Pollack together with several fellow writers on the screenplay for his film The Interpreter with the cast Nicole Kidman , Sean Penn and Catherine Keener . In 2010, in addition to his work as a screenwriter, he became involved in Edward Zwick's film drama Love and other Drugs - side effect including as a producer. For Adam McKay's film The Big Short with Christian Bale in the leading role, he and McKay received an Oscar in the category Best Adapted Screenplay at the 2016 awards ceremony .

In addition to his work as a screenwriter, Charles Randolph has worked as a film and television producer several times in the past, including in 2009 for the film production Tenderness - On the trail of the killer with Russell Crowe by director John Polson .

Together with the Israeli actress Mili Avital , whom he married in 2004, he is the father of a son.
