John Polson (born September 6, 1965 in Sydney ) is an Australian actor and director .

Life

Polson began his acting career in the theater. In 1985 he stood for the first time for the television film Shout! The Story of Johnny O'Keefe on camera. In 1993 Polson founded the Tropfest short film festival . A year later he performed What's Going On, Frank? his directorial debut. In this short film, Polson can also be seen as a star alongside Hugo Weaving . That same year he starred alongside Hugh Grant and Sam Neill in Seduction of the Sirens . After John Polson was nominated twice for the AFI Award , he received it in 1998 for Best Supporting Actor in The Boyz . In 1999 he worked again as a director, for Siam Sunset - Unexpectedly Often , Polson was awarded the Grand Golden Rail at the Cannes Film Festival and at Fantasporto . John Polson had his last film role to date in 2000 as a team member of Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible II .
