Mercedes Mason , née Mercedes Masöhn (born March 3, 1983 in Linköping , Östergötland County , Sweden ) is a Swedish -American actress .

Life

Mercedes Mason was born and raised in Linköping, Sweden. At the age of twelve, she emigrated to the United States with her family.

In 2006, Mason made her film debut in the tragic comedy Break Up With Obstacles alongside Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston . From 2005 to 2006 she was seen in three episodes of the US television series Love, Lie, Passion in the role of Neely . In 2011, she starred in the horror film Quarantine 2: Terminal the lead role of Jenny . From January to May 2012 she starred in the Fox series The Finder . From 2015 to 2017 she played the lead role of Ofelia Salazar in the AMC series Fear The Walking Dead .

In the first years of her career she appeared under her name Masohn , which was sometimes also written Masohn in the credits . She has been using Mason as a stage name since 2014 .

Mason lives with her husband in Los Angeles , California . In January 2018, she and her husband David Denman became the mother of a son.
