Nick Chinlund

Nicholas "Nick" Chinlund (born November 18, 1961 in New York City , New York ) is an American actor .

Life

Chinlund grew up in New York and went to Brown University after school to study history and play basketball . When an injury set him back and a career in the NBA blocked him, he began to take part in various acting courses and classes. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles , where he worked at local theater stages, which shortly afterwards opened the door to the film business for him.

Chinlund got his first big role in the film Brennpunkt LA - The Pros Are Back as the thug "Hatchett". For him, this role also meant his breakthrough in the film business and his profile as a classic villain in supporting roles. He starred in Berett - The Law of Vengeance , Bad Girls , Eraser , Mr. Magoo and Training Day , among others .

Chinlund has also appeared in various television series, such as New York Cops - NYPD Blue , Fitz Again and again , The X Files - The FBI's Scary Cases , CSI: On the Trail of the Criminals , Law & Order , Navy CIS , Buffy - Under the Spell Demons and Gilmore Girls . In Third Watch , he had a recurring role as "Detective Tancredi".
