The young Josh Hartnett can also be seen as Fitz's son Michael.

action

Gerry "Fitz" Fitzgerald is an unconventional but brilliant psychologist. He is unbearable for his fellow men. He's loud, rude, and utterly unsympathetic. In order to be able to pay his bills, he gives lectures and appears on radio shows. He helps the Los Angeles Police Department in difficult cases. In his private life he has difficulties with his wife Judith and his 17 year old son Michael. Fitz has a problem with gambling, alcohol, and cigarettes, and he regularly has extramarital affairs.

Production and Criticism

The series was a failure in the US and received little attention. Kino.de described the series as a "cheap copy". “More than a mediocre remake of the British series For All Cases Fitz , in which Robbie Coltrane excelled as a problem-laden psychologist. Robert Pastorelli can be seen as the American Fitz, who never even came close to living up to the British model. Fitz's son Michael was portrayed by Josh Hartnett, who played his first role here and should be happy that the series didn't go beyond a season [sic!] ”.
