Carolyn McCormick

Carolyn Inez McCormick (born September 19, 1959 , in Midland , Texas ) is an American actress . She is known for her role as Dr. Elizabeth Olivet in the Law & Order franchise .

Life

McCormick made her first film appearance in Enemy Mine in 1985 . She gained fame through her roles ADA Rita Fiore in the television series Spenser (1986–1987) and Dr. Elizabeth Olivet in the television series Law & Order , which she held from 1991 to 2009 and which also appeared in the series New York Undercover (1996), Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005), Criminal Intent (2006) and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999–2013) occurs. From 1997 to 1999 she played Judith Fitzgerald in the series Fitz again and again . She had several other appearances in series, such as in Spaceship Enterprise: The Next Century (1988/1990), LA Law - Staranwälte, Tricks, Prozess (1993), Homicide (1996), Practice - The Lawyers (1998/2003), Just in case Amy (2001-2004), Cold Case - No Victim Is Ever Forget (2007) and Love, Lies, Passions (2010).

Other films she starred in include DC Cops (1986), Silent Rain (1992), Loverboy (2005), Spectropia (2006), The Smile of Stars (2008), Whatever Works (2009 ), True Nature (2010) and Downtown Express (2011). For the television film The Outlaws (1999) she won the Bronze Wrangler Award in 2000 , which she shares with Amy Adelson, Brandon Stoddard, John Kent Harrison , Andrew Gottlieb , Sam Elliott and Arliss Howard .

She has been married to actor Byron Jennings since 1994 and has two children with him.
