Arliss Howard

Arliss Howard (born October 18, 1954 in Independence , Missouri ) is an American film actor , director and producer .

Life

Howard cemented his cinematic career with roles in Stanley Kubrick's war drama Full Metal Jacket and in John Mackenzie's thriller Ruby . Howard took on a guest role for four episodes in the television series Medium - Nothing Remains Hidden . In 2004 he played the main character's father in the independent film Dandelion - A Love in Idaho .

He directed two of his projects, in which he also played a leading and supporting role. In each of these projects his current wife Debra Winger played the female lead.
