criticism

“The set pieces of the road movie and the travesty provincial farce are indebted to the comedy that relies too much on familiar clichés and neglects character drawing. The sensitive management of the actors and the imaginative costumes ensure that the film has a modest entertainment value. "

"In her quasi-remake of the Oscar-winning cult comedy " Priscilla - Queen of the Desert " , Beeban Kidron does not achieve the freshness and charm of the original. Still, "To Wong Foo" is a fun excursion into the lowlands of the province, whose funniest moments result from the clash of irreconcilable views of life. "
